Grant Making

The deadline for grant applications for the 2015-16 fiscal year has passed. More information on the 2016-17 grant process will be available in the fall of 2015.

About the grant:

PCAR launched the Vision of Hope Fund in July 2005 to battle child sexual abuse by funding innovation in child sexual abuse prevention and intervention.

A total of $50,000 is available each year through the Vision of Hope Fund to finance one or more projects. Awards are contingent on the availability of funding and are subject to approval of the PCAR/NSVRC Chief Executive Officer.

We prioritize critical research, effective prevention strategies, teaching adult responsibility and accountability, and supporting services to children who have been sexually victimized.

Eligible applicants include public agencies (including state agencies, units of local government, public universities and colleges) and private organizations (including faith- and community-based organizations) conducting grant activities, including 501(c)(3), LEA (local education agencies), individual researchers or research organizations.

Applicants must provide documentation of 501(c)(3) determination, and be registered with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Charitable Organizations or able to provide a description of the reason they are exempt from BCO registration.

Ineligible projects include international proposals, funding for new personnel positions, funding to replication an existing project that is already being used elsewhere.
